What will the player connect to?
A phono-level signal needs a suitable phono preamp before an ordinary line input. Some players include one and others do not. Confirm the signal path for the exact model and speakers; a passive speaker also needs amplification.
Check the formats you intend to play
If you want ordinary LPs and singles, check 33⅓ and 45 RPM support. For inherited 78s, check speed and stylus compatibility separately. A player that handles modern LPs is not automatically suitable for every old record.
Ask about local support
Request written warranty terms, service availability, replacement styli and power-supply compatibility in India. An imported bargain can become inconvenient if a small part is unavailable.
